All high-performing organizations have and pursue goals. Prismatic can help your transportation department to create and identify goals. The school transportation industry has not adopted a set of performance metrics against which all districts are expected to assess themselves. While there are professional bodies in K-12 human resources, food service, facilities, and others that strongly promote industry standards and best practices, school transportation lacks a similar cohesive voice in this area. There are national school transportation organizations, but they have not yet promulgated their expectations as to standards or best practices. • operation cost per route mile
• operation cost per student rider
• annual operation costs per route
• on-time performance
• driver absentee rate
• average rider trip time in minutes
• average bus occupancy
• percent preventive maintenance completed on time
